Fort Collins (Colorado) Police Services is seeking a contemporary professional to serve as our on-staff Psychologist or Mental Health Specialist (dependent upon education). 

FCPS employs 230 sworn officers and 118 professional staff members. The agency has had a full-time psychologist for 32 years and an active peer support team for 35 years. Thus, it is an engaging environment for a Police Psychologist who is an integral part of the department and a liaison across the region.  Serving as a manager of volunteer teams and leading regional committees, this position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Chief of Police. The suitable candidate will have both crisis intervention and organizational development skills. 

Located in Northern Colorado, Fort Collins is home to Colorado State University, many technological firms, and an outstanding public-school system.  Nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills, Fort Collins offers exciting recreational opportunities, unique cultural offerings, and is a regional center for employment and shopping. During the year, live music and entertainment, as well as great local dining, is available throughout the historic downtown area.  

The salary hiring range is $120,000 - $147,000 annually depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefit package including:  401 Retirement Plan, 457 Plan (optional), Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation, and more.
