Upper Missouri River Regional Dispatch Center (service population 40,000). TheUpper Missouri River Regional Dispatch Center (UMRRDC) is seeking a 911 Operations Manager. Located in Williston, North Dakota, the community is located at the crossroads of U.S. Highways 2 and 85. It is near the confluence of the Yellowstone and Missouri rivers, at the upper end of the Lake Sakakawea reservoir in the beautiful Williston Basin. The UMRRDC was established in 2018 as an intergovernmental agency to provide 911 services for all Law Enforcement, Fire and Emergency Medical Services emergency calls. The UMRRDC was formed to expand and improve emergency dispatch services for northwestern North Dakota. The UMRRDC has a service population of approximately 40,000 and a service area over 3,000 square miles. The UMRRDC serves 19 partner agencies made up of Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS agencies. Temporarily operating within the new 2020 back-up Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) since its 2018 inception, the agency will move into a state-of-the-art facility in October 2021. The technology in the new dispatch center is far more advanced than most comparable dispatch centers in the United States. The future of UMRRDC includes growth into additional regions and populations for services. Currently, UMRRDC receives over 80,000 Calls for Service (CFS’s) per year resulting in dispatching First Responders. UMRRDC handles an additional 120,000 calls per year for the communities and agencies served. The UMRRDC is looking for an outstanding leader with demonstrated dispatching and technical skills to join our team of dedicated team of leaders and public safety dispatchers. The Operations Manager reports to the Director and works closely with an Operations Committee (Executive leadership of the member communities). Salary is $102,000 plus an excellent benefit package including 100% paid health insurance for employee and family. A moving allowance will be negotiated with the selected candidate.
