We’re planning to discuss a range of topics. We are seeing across-the-board increases in shootings and murders in many cities. What is driving this?  We’ll hear a number of perspectives.  And for months we’ve been witnessing unprecedented vandalism and violence occurring after police reform marches and demonstrations. Many cities were not prepared for the level of conflict that has occurred. We’ll be asking about strategies that worked, and some that didn’t help. And unfortunately, it doesn’t look like COVID is receding; some cities are already seeing new surges. Are police prepared for a possible long hard winter of the continuing pandemic?

On a much more positive note, we’ll announce the winners of PERF’s 2020 Leadership Award and Gary P. Hayes Memorial Award at the Virtual Town Hall Meeting.
