Salary Range: $10,010.00 - $12,859.00

Brief Description of Position’s Responsibilities 

Under the administrative direction of the Deputy Director, Office of Internal Affairs, the Chief, Field Operations is responsible for the management, oversight, and direction of the Department's internal affairs criminal and administrative investigations, including deadly force, sexual assault, contraband smuggling, violations of the Department’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy,  task force operations and retaliation investigation programs in three Regional Offices statewide – Northern Region, Sacramento; Central Region, Bakersfield; and Southern Region, Rancho Cucamonga.  The Chief, Field Operations provides centralized oversight of internal affairs, deadly force, administrative, and criminal investigations conducted in conjunction with departmental hiring authorities located in the field, and provides direct supervision to three Special Agents-In-Charge who manage and direct the day-to-day operation of their respective Regional Internal Affairs Office.
