CHIEF OF POLICE BOW, NH The Town of Bow, NH is seeking a progressive, community-oriented Police Chief to lead this full-service police department (approx. budget $1.75 mil) consisting of 13 FT officers and an Administrative Assistant. With approximately 8,000 residents Bow is a quintessential New England community located on the Merrimack River in Central NH. With easy access to I-89 and I-93, Bow is just moments away from Concord and Manchester, and an easy drive to the White Mountains and Lakes Region. The Town is governed by a 5-member Board of Selectmen, with an appointed Town Manager. A bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Police Administration or related field is required, a master’s degree is preferred. At least ten years progressively responsible law enforcement experience with at least three years in supervisory, command and administrative positions, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
